HTTrack is a free website copier and offline browser by Xavier Roche.

It allows you to download websites from the Internet to a local computer. You can download a complete website or just a part of it(you can tell it to download just a certain section/sections of a website and exclude the rest. For example you may use it to download just the "Sports" and the "Movies" Sections of a website.





For more specific downloads you can use the "Options" menu and the "Filters" menu to include/exclude certain file types ( you may want to download all the images but not the videos and the .zip files on a site).






Further you also have the options of PAUSE and RESUME. You can also update an old download.



The downloaded site can be browsed offline just like you browse a site on the internet. You can open any page in the browser and click on the links to open other pages etc on the rest of the site.

Note: If you use Internet Explorer, you must have noticed that Ctrl+S does not work in IE,to save a webpage in IE you have to go to File >Click on Save >Enter the File Name>Click On Save. You have to repeat these steps every time you want to save a webpage. Google Maps is a free web mapping service application and technology provided by Google.

Google Maps features a map that can be navigated by dragging the mouse, or using the mouse wheel to zoom in (mouse wheel up) or out (mouse wheel down) to show detailed street information. Users can enter an address, intersection or general area to quickly find it on the map. There are quiet a few mapping services avialable on the internet but as far as I am concerned Google Maps is the best. You can easily explore your city in Google Maps and with the Satellite view you can even trace your house, school, college, office anything. Never been to a place before and want to get directions. Well don't ask your friends, just use Google Maps.

Google Maps offers four viewing modes by default: Map (topographic and street map), Satellite
(satellite and high-resolution aerial photographs), Hybrid (Street maps overlaid on satellite and
high-resolution aerial photographs) and Street View ( I am not sure if its available in India).
